Drew was born and raised in a little town in East Texas. He grew up attending a small country church but wasn’t captured by the grace of Jesus until the age of 17. He graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in Psychology. While in college, Drew began to travel, perform and share the Gospel at student camps and conferences and after graduating he spent a year living in a car with his friend and musician, driving all over America, sharing their gifts with whoever would allow them the opportunity.
In 2006, he felt God stir within his heart a passion to plant churches in the most unchurched region of our country (Pacific Northwest) among the most unchurched age group (college students). He spent 11 years there planting churches throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho and raising up young leaders to become church planters, leaders and disciple-makers. Drew also got to work with the North American Mission Board to help start and lead a leadership development project of a leadership pipeline across all seven of their church plant campuses.
Drew now lives in San Antonio with his wife, Jane, and daughter, Tilly. He still travels, performs and speaks throughout the year, but they spend most of their time building up the local church as church planters in their neighborhood.
