A MESSAGE FROM OUR TEAM:
As we continue to monitor COVID-19, our #1 priority is the health and safety of your students. As of today, we are preparing for a live and in-person event in Murfreesboro - however, please know that we are also working on program options in the event that global or regional circumstances necessitate a transition. Our team is working diligently to secure the dates and details for this city.
Be sure to check back for any and all updates!
LIFT TOUR 2021 THEME : "TOGETHER We"
Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel, not being frightened in any way by your opponents. This is a sign of destruction for them, but of your salvation—and this is from God.
Philippians 1:27-28 (CSB)
There are seasons in every culture that leave an unforgettable and indelible impact. Such was the chapter, or season, in our culture known as COVID-19. It will be remembered as a world-wide event that impacted virtually every aspect of society and daily life. A mysterious and narcissistically shifty virus literally brought the world to a standstill. And yet, through all the quarantine and social distancing, the communal spirit of the church began to rise. In the name of Jesus, consistent with bygone eras that witnessed plagues and injustice of all kinds, the church met the challenge with courage and love. Caring for each other, and those they had never met, the church was strong throughout the epidemic and stronger still in its aftermath. In the wake of tragedy, the community of Jesus followers rediscovered what has always been true but is sometimes forgotten: we love better…are stronger…are healthier, when we are together. Therefore, our team invites you to join us at The LIFT Tour to discover and become enthralled with possibility because ‘TOGETHER we’:
- TOGETHER we are citizens of heaven
TOGETHER we are ONE
TOGETHER we have many opponents but one true enemy
TOGETHER we advance God’s mission

What can I expect at a LIFT Tour date?
At the LIFT Tour, there will be four Gospel-centered messages that cater to both middle and high schoolers, high energy worship, built-in, optional time for small group discussions, and a weekend experience that will inspire your students to be the best version of themselves, leaning into who God created them to be.
Who is an "adult?"
Anyone over 18 years old who the church identifies as a chaperone, volunteer, or part-time/full-time staff member. Adults are always $25.
Who should come to a LIFT Tour event?
Students in middle-high school, youth pastors, youth workers, educators, and teachers. This event is designed for students 6-12th grade who are unfamiliar with church, regular church goers and those passionately pursuing their Savior.
I have small children, can they attend with me?
We think families are great, and time together is important. Yet, this event is only for middle and high school students and their adult leaders. We want everyone to have the best experience possible at this event, so please make arrangements to leave your children under 10 years old at home or arrange for childcare while you serve or attend the event.
What is the history of the LIFT Tour?
For over 10 years, the LIFT Tour (formerly Leadership Rocks) has provided Student Leadership University with the opportunity to influence tens of thousands of students to maximize their impact with gospel-centered preaching, worship, and a focus on leadership development. The LIFT Tour provides platforms for students from across a community to gather together in a singular location from differing backgrounds, denominations, ethnic groups, churches, and schools to worship Christ and be challenged by Scripture.
How much does LIFT Tour cost?
Our pricing structure for Spring 2021 is as follows:
- $49 per student until the event reaches full capacity
- Adults are always $25
NEW THIS YEAR - Instead of paying the full amount when you register, we will have a $10 per student deposit to hold your spots. The final payment for the event will be due 45 days before the event.
Due to COVID-19, we have worked hard to ensure the best and most affordable option for you, for registration and pricing! That is why we have eliminated the price increases and added the deposit system. If you have questions about the pricing or deposit system, please email us here.
What's included in the LIFT registration?
- Conference Admission for 4 Sessions
- Show or concert with the weekend artist
- Listening guide for every participant
Due to COVID, how has the cancellation and payment policy changed for The LIFT Tour?
Regardless of the reason, cancellations and transfers cost Student Leadership University. To offset these costs, the following fees will apply. In fairness to others, we cannot make exceptions.
- Deposit: LIFT Deposit is fully refundable up until December 11, 2020. After December 11, 2020 the deposit will be non-refundable.
- From December 11, 2020, to 30 days before the event: 50% of the total cost of the program will be forfeited
- Less than 30 days before event: 100% of the total cost of the program will be forfeited
To cancel a registration, please email us here.
Payment deadline: A deposit of $10 is due at the time of registration. All remaining balances are due 45 days before the conference. Any registration not paid in full by this day will incur a $25 late fee.
All credit card payments will incur a 3% processing fee. This fee will be added to your account and automatically charged to your credit card within a week of initial payment.
Please note: If circumstances regionally or globally necessitate a transition from a live event, the SLU team will communicate whether this event will be transitioned to a virtual event, rescheduled, or canceled. Please note, in this circumstance, the event deposit is still non-refundable.
What is Student Leadership University?
The vision of SLU is one that is optimistically looking forward towards the goal of empowering, enabling, and equipping students around the globe to rise to the call of leadership along with training students to be able to adequately respond to the challenges presented by an increasingly pluralistic and postmodern culture. Our vision is to train up a generation of leaders who will effectively engage their world on all levels with a contagious passion for Christ in a manner that is also full of both grace and truth. Our vision is to change the world…one student at a time.
Our four cumulative experiences take students behind the scenes of Orlando or San Antonio (101), Washington D.C. (201), Europe (301) and the Holy Land (401) to learn the essence of leadership.
