“Salvaging My Identity” is a book that has just been released targeted to girls and young adult women, in hopes to equip girls with the truth found in God’s Word about who He says they are! Let’s face it...we are living in a day & age where the Enemy is wreaking havoc on the hearts & minds of young women. Our culture has created a mentality of focusing on ALL the wrong things and if not tackled head on can leave us in quite the predicament as a girl, of any age, striving to live a godly life. This 40 day experience will equip girls to salvage their identity as we address topics from a biblical perspective ranging from lying, pornography, self-harm, anger, to spiritual apathy. It is designed for an individual as a devotional, with an accountability partner, or in a small group setting.
“The Bible teaches us that from the beginning of time that He knew us, Psalm 139: 13-14. He set us apart before we were even born, Jeremiah 1:5. He knows the days of our lives before one of them came to be, Psalm 139:16. He knows the plans He has for us that are to prosper us and to give us a Hope & a future, Jeremiah 29:11. He created us with a deep longing to love and to be loved, and yet He waits patiently on us to come find that longing for love fulfilled through Him, & He loves us with an everlasting love, Jeremiah 31:3. He has clothed us in the garments of salvation & wrapped His robe of Righteousness around us, Isaiah 61:10…
I’m pretty sure that if got to the point where we didn’t just read these words of truth, but actually believed them... our lives would look a tad bit different than they do now, especially with our area insecurity. When we believe the truth of how He views us, we draw of worth and validation from the Giver of Life. It’s time that we know who we are, embrace who we are & glorify the Lord with this life we’ve been given.
God created you to be your own person, to be unique. He even created you with your own set of fingerprints that are unique to you. He knows how many hairs are on your head. And He has the days of your life planned out to give you hope & a future. He’s got this! It’s time we quit running the “rat race” of trying to meet up to some standard we will never attain and embrace the girl God created us to be! Embrace who you are and quit trying to mimic and alter the look and behavior of the next girl—Be you!
Our prayer is that you embrace who God created YOU to be and live a life of authenticity that is contagious to those around you!
It’s the character of God, and who He is, that gives us security & self- worth, and not anything we can do of ourselves!”
