Hillary is a Georgia native and began her SLU journey in 2003 and completed SLU 101-401 (Mediterranean Cruise) as a student. Hillary was an SLU intern multiple summers for 101 San Antonio, 201, and 301 before becoming a SLU staff member. Hillary is unashamedly a raving fan of the SLU program and attributes much of her personal development in her formative years to principles that she learned from SLU and applied in life.
Because of a deep love for connecting with people, Hillary has always enjoyed foreign language and studying other cultures. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 2011 with a B.A. in Spanish with an emphasis on culture and civilization. From there she went on to teach two years of Secondary Spanish and now continues to be involved with foreign and local missions. Hillary’s other great passion is music, specifically in the realm of leading worship, where she feels most alive. Whether in the work place, serving in the local church, or just living life, Hillary’s goal is to embody 1 Corinthians 10:21, “Whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God”. If you want to know where to find Hillary, it’s usually with her friends, preferably drinking iced coffee or eating Mexican food.
